System Audit Log

The System Audit Log is available in all modules and offers a detailed, time-stamped record of all configuration and settings changes within iiQ. This tool enables administrators to identify unauthorized or accidental modifications quickly. It also allows them to track who made each change and when, helping to pinpoint the root cause of any issues without the need for manual investigation.

Users must have the ‘Manage System Audit Log’ permission to access the System Audit Log page.

Audit logs are specific to individual modules, requiring users to access each module separately to view the corresponding audit log data.

The System Audit Log page can be found under Admin > System Audit Log in the left-hand navigation menu. On this page, you must first select an Entity Type from the dropdown menu.

After an Entity Type is selected, a corresponding dropdown appears, allowing you to choose a specific item within that category. Clicking ‘Search’ will display all recorded adjustments or changes made to the selected item, in chronological order with the oldest changes listed first.

The audit log includes both system-initiated changes and user-initiated changes. For example, updates triggered by scheduled rules or background jobs will be logged.

Selecting Copy CSV copies the results to the clipboard, allowing you to paste them into a text file or any other application.

Selecting Download CSV exports all results to a CSV file, providing an easier-to-read and more flexible format for review or analysis.

Selecting Clear will clear all the fields and data.

If no changes have been made and no audit data exists, a red warning message will appear stating: “Error: No audit logs available for entity.”

If the system is having difficulty retrieving audit logs, a red warning message will appear: “Error: Error retrieving audit logs.” If you receive this message, refresh the page and try again.
