Adding a New Asset Status
You may come across an Asset Status that Incident IQ does not already have in the system (such as recycling, scrapped, etc.). Administrators can create new Asset Statuses as needed by clicking Administration > Asset Statuses in the left navigation bar—click Add Asset Status in the top right corner.
Enter the required information and select the product visibility of your new model if you are using multiple modules. This allows you to selectively enable and disable the availability of a model by product module when creating and editing models.
Editing or deleting a funding source will also automatically change for all assets utilizing this asset status. Before making any changes, you may want to export your asset data to provide a backup source of information in case changes need to be undone.
Editing an Existing Asset Status
Administrators can edit Asset Statuses if needed by clicking Administration > Asset Statuses in the left navigation bar. On the Asset Statuses page, click on the specific asset name you want to edit.
If you are editing a default Asset Status, you can only edit product visibility.
If you are editing a Custom Asset Status, you can delete the Asset Status, edit all information fields, and edit the product visibility options.
Editing or deleting an asset status will also automatically change for all assets utilizing this asset status. Before making any changes, you may want to export your asset data to provide a backup source of information in case changes need to be undone.
