Submitting a Ticket with iiQ Resources

You can create a new ticket from the Incident IQ dashboard by clicking the New Ticket button. For Requestors, this will always be located at the top of the left-side navigation or in your dashboard's “My Recent Tickets” section.

You will now select Resources. This section can be broken down into categories such as:

  • Exchange Equipment: Used when identifying resources that require exchange (for example, books that require an exchange due to their condition).

  • Maintenance/Repair: Used when identifying resources that require maintenance.

  • Purchase new equipment: Used when requesting the purchase of additional assets.

  • Request a write-off: Used when it has been determined that the asset can no longer be used or has been lost or stolen, a request to write off can be made.

  • Request checkout at a certain date: Used when requesting the checkout of certain assets on a specific date.

  • Request checkout now: Used when requesting the checkout of certain assets.

  • Send off for re-certification: Used when equipment needs to be tested to determine whether they continue to meet the original certification requirements (for example, football helmets).

Select the category that best fits the problem you are experiencing now.

You will now be asked to refine your ticket submission further. This includes identifying specific equipment where necessary.

After you have identified the general issue of your ticket, you can describe your problem in greater detail. If you have additional information to share, use the dialog box to explain your issue further. You will also be asked to identify the ticket’s urgency.

You will also have a field to add one or more assets to the ticket; this field is required. The following options are available for this field:

  • Indicate that the resource is not an existing resource

  • If it is not an existing resource, the user can enter data about a new asset in a text field

  • The user can select unlimited serialized and non-serialized (generic and consumable) assets with added quantities if it is an existing resource.

The “Purchase new equipment” was selected as the Issue Category in this example. The ticket template contains the custom field that allows the requestor to add a resource and the quantity of that resource that should be purchased.

After filling in and reviewing all your ticket information, select Submit Ticket.

The ticket will be generated in the system, and your page will redirect to the Ticket Details page. You will also receive a confirmation email that your ticket has been submitted.
