When configuring rules for Contractors, the following actions are available:

Set contractor status
Examples of Rules for Contractors
If insurance has expired, then set contractor status to Restricted.
If insurance is not expired and contractor status is Restricted, then set contractor status as Approved.
Filter Rules Conditions by Custom Fields
Custom Fields created for Contractors in Facilities can be used as filters when defining rule conditions.
