The Jamf Pro integration is designed to give school districts the ability to create, manage, and automatically assign assets to students in Incident IQ by utilizing Jamf asset data. In addition, this integration with Incident IQ also allows agents and admins to view an asset’s metadata in one convenient location. This includes basic device information, OS and firmware versions, and other data that agents may find helpful while working on a ticket.
Installing Jamf Pro
Before beginning the installation process, you will need the following:
Your district’s Jamf Pro cloud URL.
An account with the ability to access and replicate data from your Jamf Pro server.
To install the Jamf Pro integration, click Incident IQ Apps > Browse on the left sidebar. Next, under the Asset Management section, click on Jamf Pro.
From here, select Install and follow the steps to complete the installation.
Once installed in Incident IQ, you must click on Manage App Settings.
Next, under the General Setting tab, you will need to allow access to your Jamf asset data by entering the following Jamf information:
The Username and Password for an account that can access your Jamf Pro cloud instance.
Your Jamf Pro cloud Instance Url.
Next, you will need to run a sync. Navigate to the Overview Tab and click Start Full Sync. This will accomplish the following:
Establish a connection between Incident IQ and Jamf asset information.
Allows Incident IQ to see what models are available in your Jamf. This is necessary to set up automatic asset creation.
