Cost Tracking
You can view the total cost breakdown, including parts, labor, and overall expenses, for each individual asset. This can be found by navigating to the Cost Tracking tab on an Asset Details page. These costs are automatically updated when new labor or parts expenses are added to tickets linked to the asset.
Total Cost of Labor to Date- the total cost of all labor performed to maintain the asset in all associated tickets.
Total Part Cost to Date - the total cost of all parts purchased in connection with that asset across all tickets
Cumulative Total Cost to Date- the sum of the Cost of Parts & Cost of Labor
The tickets listed in the Associated Tickets section show each ticket's Total Cost of Labor and Total Cost of Parts. This gives users an overview of the cost associated with a single asset for each ticket.
Within the cost tracking tab, there is a graphical representation of an asset's Accumulated Cost. This graph enables users to easily compare the accumulated cost with the asset's current book value.
As costs update over a year based on tickets with parts and/or labor associated with that asset, the point on the graph should reflect those changes.
You have the option to hide specific components of the graph. Simply click on the Book Value/Current Year components, and they will be hidden, leaving only the blue line representing the Accumulated Cost.
Clicking on the Accumulated Cost component will hide it and will only show the Book Value and Current Year.
If an asset lacks depreciation data but has parts and labor data, the graph will only display the blue line indicating Accumulated Cost.
