FAQ - How does iiQ calculate the average unit cost of a part?

Inventory can be added at different locations and per-unit costs. Average unit cost is calculated as the average per part cost by location: dividing the sum of variable costs and fixed costs by the number of units produced. For example, If you bought 10 light bulbs for $1 each and 10 for $2 each, that part will have a parts cost of $1.50.
