The Linked Assets feature enables you to associate devices for easier management and reference. This allows you to define relationships between items, such as linking a monitor to a specific computer or grouping multiple computers within a single system.
Linking a Single Asset
To link two assets and create a visible relationship in Incident IQ:
Navigate to the Linked Assets tab.
Click the Link Asset button.
In the pop-up window, search for and select the device you want to link.
The new link will appear in the Linked Assets list.
Linking Multiple Assets (Bulk)
To link multiple assets to a single device simultaneously:
In the asset list, select the checkboxes for all assets you wish to link.
In the options bar that appears below the column headers, click Other.
Select Link to asset.
In the pop-up window, search for and select the target device.
Linked Assets Column
The Linked Assets column in the Assets grid displays associated assets in a scrollable, user-friendly format. This data can also be included in CSV exports.
To add this column to your view:
Click the View Settings button (top right).
Select the Columns tab.
Search for "Linked Assets," click Add Column, and then Save.
Unlinking Assets
Unlinking a Single Asset
Open the Linked Assets tab.
Locate the specific asset and click the icon in the Unlink column.
Unlinking Multiple Assets
Open the Linked Assets tab.
Select the checkboxes next to the assets you want to remove.
Click the Other button.
Select Unlink from asset.
In the confirmation pop-up, click Update to finalize the changes.
