ISBN images can populate Asset images in the iiQ Resources product as resources that use ISBN # are created and updated.
iiQ retrieves ISBN images from this database.
The ISBN image will be available on the Asset Details page immediately after an ISBN # is added through the following methods: CSV import, copying, or manual asset creation.
After adding an ISBN #, the ISBN image will be displayed on the Asset profile if:
The Asset uses a custom Asset name for its Asset name, as defined by its Asset type, AND no image has been set for the Asset
The Asset uses the Model name for its Asset name, as defined by its Asset type, AND no image has been set for the Model
If an image has been previously manually set on the Asset Model, it will supersede the ISBN image.
ISBN images are derived from the Asset Type or Asset Model they are associated with. If that particular Type or Model doesn’t have an image, the Asset image won’t be displayed.
Here is the example where the Asset 3M of Mice and Men doesn’t display an image because the Model it is associated with doesn’t have an image. No image has been uploaded for this particular model.
You will have to specify the ISBN # on the Asset Details page.
After entering the ISBN # and saving the changes, the image will populate on the Asset Details page and the grid (on the refresh).
