iiQ Facilities - Preventative Maintenance Page Overview

Permissions

The following permissions will allow users to perform the following actions:

  • Create Preventative Maintenance Template: Enables users to create new Preventative Maintenance templates and edit or delete templates they created.

  • Edit Preventative Maintenance Template: Allows users to edit and delete any Preventative Maintenance templates.

  • View Preventative Maintenance List and Details: Controls Preventative Maintenance visibility in default or custom views. Users with view-only permissions can see templates, but cannot create or edit them.

  • View Preventative Maintenance Left Nav: Reveals the Preventative Maintenance page on the left-hand navigation.


Preventative Maintenance Page

  • Navigation: Accessible via the left navigation menu within the iiQ Facilities module.

  • Content: Displays a list of all saved Preventative Maintenance templates.

  • Function: Use this page to monitor scheduling intervals, track assigned teams, and view maintenance coverage (assets and locations).

Columns and Icons

Column

Description

Details

Displays the template name and a brief description.

Triggers

Shows the recurrence schedule (e.g., "Repeat every 1 day") and the next scheduled run date (e.g., "Next Run: June 12, 2026"). Associated with a green calendar icon.

Rule Actions

Lists upcoming due dates, the assigned team or agent, and additional rules. Associated with a yellow task icon.

Assets

Lists the total number of assets linked to the template.

Locations

Lists the total number of locations covered by the template.

Search

To search for a specific Preventative Maintenance template, enter the template name into the search bar located at the top of the page.

Matching is performed against the Template Name field and supports:

  • Partial matches

  • Case-insensitive matching

  • Matches anywhere within the template name (not limited to beginning or ending text)

Filtering

To refine the list of Preventative Maintenance templates, use the filter options in the top-right corner of the page.


Deleting a PM Template

To delete a template, select it from the page and click on Delete in the bottom left corner. A confirmation message will appear to prevent accidental deletion.

  • PM Generation: Stops the generation of new work orders from this template.

  • Existing Records: Historical work orders remain unaffected.

  • Calendar: Projected occurrences are removed from the Work Calendar.
