Option Actions for Different Types of Shortcuts
The Options dropdown for each shortcut or snippet offers several actions, which depend on your user role within Incident IQ.
Personal Shortcuts and Text Snippets: Ability to edit, copy, and delete.
District Shortcuts and Text Snippets:
The following options are available for all users: Copy.
If you hold the iiQ Admin role, you have the ability to edit, convert to personal or district-wide, and delete.
Edit
Selecting the Edit Shortcut option will lead you to the Edit Shortcut page, where you can edit the name and action and save it by selecting Save Shortcut.
Copy
Selecting Copy will open a New Shortcut page with all the copied data from the original shortcut. You can give it a different name and/or action and select Save Shortcut.
Delete
Selecting Delete will open the Confirmation pop-up, where you can select Yes to delete it.
Within a Ticket: Shortcuts & Text Snippets
Edit
To edit a Text Snippet or Shortcut, start by finding an In-Progress ticket. Click on the wand icon and select All Shortcuts.
Next, a pencil icon appears when hovering over the Text Snippet or Shortcut that needs to be edited. Click on the pencil icon.
This will open the “edit” screen. Make the changes here and click on the “Save” button.
Copy
You can copy a shortcut using the Copy Shortcut option.
Ticket > Shortcut > Edit Shortcut > Copy Shortcut > Save Shortcut
Deleting
You can delete a shortcut using the Delete Shortcut option.
Ticket > Shortcut > Edit Shortcut > Delete Shortcut
