In grid and custom views, you can filter serialized assets according to their due dates, allowing you to manage and organize your assets based on their deadlines efficiently.
Assets > Filter > Due Date
When the Due Date filter is selected, you can choose between a specific date range and a Moving date range. Depending on your choice of filters—either moving date range filters or specific date range filters—you will have access to various options in the standard date range filtering component used throughout the platform.
When filtering Assets by Due Date, it’s important to note that Due Date filters automatically exclude the following assets when filters are applied:
Non-serialized Assets
Assets without a Due Date (which includes unassigned Assets)
However, “exclude selected” options will include those assets by default, so when a Due Date filter is applied but the “exclude selected” option is enabled for that filter, the results could include:
Non-serialized Assets
Assets that aren’t assigned
Assets that are assigned but do not have a Due Date
Sort by Due Date
In grid views, you can sort serialized Assets by their Due Date by selecting a sort option next to the column header.
Ascending: earliest due date --> latest due date
Descending: latest due date --> earliest due date
Also supported as a sorting option in custom views.
Set Due Date in Bulk
To set a Due Date in bulk, check multiple resources and select Other > Set Info.
Assets must be assigned to a User for a Due Date to be set for them. You cannot set the Owner and Due Date in the same bulk update operation. Unassigned assets will be skipped.
Users with the Edit Asset permission can set the Due Date in bulk for serialized assets.
Select the Due Date field from the dropdown and select Add Field.
Select the due date from the calendar and select Update Assets (X).
The Due Date has been successfully set/changed.
