Specific Google devices may be excluded from automatic MDM updates that occur nightly to update the asset's owner to the most recent user. This ensures that only selected assets are synchronized in iiQ with Google device information.
Navigate to Apps > Manage Google Devices > General Settings tab
Scroll down to the Google Options section.
When you choose one of the following options from the drop-down menu—either “Automatically update owner in iiQ based on annotated user in Google” or “Automatically update owner in iiQ based on the last device user in Google”—a filtering option will become available.
Then, select Add Filter.
If the setting is set to "Don't automatically update asset owner in iiQ," the filter settings will not be displayed.
When adding the filter, select the Spare/Loaner Device? filter and Save Selection.
To exclude items, toggle it off or keep it on and check the “Exclude Selected” box at the bottom.
The filter is set to NO, so the only devices included in the owner update will be those NOT Spare Pool devices.
