This detailed guide will provide additional information for the different permission options that are specifically tailored for iiQ Resources.
For more information about the permissions list, please refer to the following Knowledge Base Guide:
This guide provides detailed information on how to view and manage resource assets within the platform. It is important to ensure that users possess the necessary permissions, specifically, List Assets and View Asset List and Details. These permissions are required for users to access and see the Resource Groups located in the left navigation menu.
Once you have granted the necessary permissions, you can further refine which resource assets your users are allowed to view or manage. To do this, navigate to the Assets permissions section and add a specific filter condition.
If you do not add any filtering conditions, users will be able to view all resource assets.
Viewing and Managing Resources by Resource Group
The permission should be filtered to a specific resource group (s) so that the user can see a specific Resource Group(s) in the Left Navigation.
Viewing and Managing Resources by Asset Type
The permission should be filtered to a specific Asset Type(s) so that the user can see a specific Asset Type (s) in the Left Navigation.
Managing Inventory for Non-Serialized Resource
Non-serialized asset permissions are similar to parts in Ticketing (adjust inventory, add inventory, transfer inventory).
A user will need to be granted access to manage inventory for assets through Resource Group and/or Asset Type. If no location permission is specified, the user can manage assets for all locations. If a location filter is also applied, the user can only manage inventory (add/adjust/transfer to or from) based on the selected location(s).

Filter Alignment for Inventory Actions
For successful inventory actions in Resources, the Permission Policy Location Filter and the Asset Inventory Condition Filter must be aligned.
Permission Policy Location Filter: Applies permissions to users who are at a specific location, based on the policy's filter setting. It does not grant access to the location itself.
Asset Inventory Condition Filter: Determines the specific locations where a user is permitted to create or modify inventory records.
Alignment Requirement: Both filters must permit actions for the same location to allow a user to perform inventory tasks.
Example of Conflict:
A user is at Location A (e.g., Amethyst High School) and has a permission policy for Location A, but the Asset Inventory condition filter is set only for Location B (e.g., Amethyst Middle). In this scenario, the user will be prevented from performing any inventory actions because the permissions and the inventory work location do not match.
Importing Resources
Importing assets in iiQ Resources is based on “Create Assets” and “View Import Assets” permissions.
Ticketing Permissions
You can manage user access and control resource ticket visibility, customizing each user's experience based on their specific permissions.
The "View Tickets Nav Item" permission will enable/disable the left navigation Ticketing Items.
The "Submit Tickets" permission will enable/disable the New ticket button on the Check-in/check-out page and the Submit ticket button from the Asset details page.
The Adjust Inventory Settings permission allows users to adjust the minimum inventory quantity threshold.
